Jianghan University

Jianghan University (JHU) is a comprehensive university located in Wuhan, the capital city of central China's Hubei. It is under the joint administration of Hubei Provincial People's Government and Wuhan Municipal People's Government, mainly endorsed by the latter. In October 2001, at the approval of the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the People's Republic of China, the former Jianghan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology Hankou Branch, Wuhan College of Education, and Wuhan Staff Medical College were incorporated into one, which marked the establishment of a new JHU and ushered in its new phase of development. JHU insists on the predominance of undergraduate education. Meanwhile, it furthers up its construction of graduate education, international education, and continuing education. JHU strives to foster practical, innovative and globally-engaged talents with an all-round moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic grounding, for the socio-economic development of Wuhan, of Hubei, and of China. JHU aspires to a high-level city university that keeps abreast with Wuhan’s journey to strengthen its role as a key metropolis of China and a vibrant hub for international exchange.

1. Applicants should be a non Chinese citizen with a valid passport, in good physical and mental health.

2. Applicants for undergraduate and continuing education programs aged between 18 and 24 should have obtained a high school education or above. Those aged under 18 are required to provide proof of guardianship.

3. Applicants for master’s degree programs aged between 18 and 35 should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

4. Applicant whose mother tongue or official language is not English, or those who didnt study under English as the instruction medium should have English proficiency certificate.
