SCUT is one of leading universities directly under the Ministry of Education, and one of the national 211 and 985 project universities，which qualifies it as a prestigious and highly sought-after institution in China. 1. Applicants should be a foreigner with a valid passport, in good physical and mental health.

2. Bachelor applicants should hold a high school diploma with good record, age under 25 years old.

3.Master applicants should hold a bachelor's degree with good record, age under 35 years old.
4.Doctoral applicants should hold a master's degree with good record, age under 40 years old.

5.Applicant for bachelor programs should have IELTS score no less than 5.5; TOFEL score no less than 68(IBT); or other equivalent English language qualifications.

6.Applicant for master and doctoral programs should have IELTS score no less than 6.0; TOFEL score no less than 80(IBT); or other equivalent English language qualifications.Bachelor degree programs:
