2026 CSCA Intensive Preparation Program in JiangSu

Jiangsu Normal University (JSNU) is a key provincial university in Jiangsu Province and one of the first institutions in China authorized to admit international students. It is also designated as a “Chinese Government Scholarship Training Institution.” According to Document No. 47 [2025] issued by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) of the Ministry of Education, the world’s first China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) for undergraduate admission will be officially administered on December 21, 2025. Starting from 2026, all international students applying for undergraduate programs at universities eligible for the Chinese Government Scholarship—regardless of whether they are applying as scholarship recipients or as self-funded students—must take the nationally administered CSCA. University admission decisions and scholarship eligibility will be determined based on the exam results.

In response to this new national policy, Jiangsu Normal University has integrated its high-quality educational resources to develop a comprehensive and systematic CSCA Intensive Preparation Program specifically for international students who plan to take the CSCA. The program offers foundational courses in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, intensive Chinese language (HSK) training, and education on China’s national conditions. It aims to help students enhance their academic Chinese proficiency, master subject fundamentals, and achieve outstanding results in the CSCA, enabling them to successfully enter their desired universities for undergraduate study.

1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, friendly toward China, have no criminal record, and be in good health as per the Chinese Ministry of Education's health standards for international students.

2.Applicants must demonstrate good moral character, abide by Chinese laws and regulations as well as university rules, and respect Chinese customs and social practices.

3.Applicants must have graduated from high school or possess an equivalent qualification (supported by valid certification).

4.Applicants are typically required to be between 17 and 25 years old. This requirement may be flexibly applied for outstanding candidates.

5.Have a native-level command of English or an IELTS score of 5.5 or above; teach in Chinese and have a HSK level of 3 or above.
