Tongji University

Tongji University, one of China’s earliest national key universities, is a prestigious institution of higher education that is directly under the Ministry of Education (MOE) and is supported by the Shanghai Municipality. Already in its second centenary, the University has grown into a comprehensive and research-intensive university with distinctive features and an international reputation. The University was among the 36 Class A universities in the list of Double First Class University Plan released by the central government of China in 2017. According to 2019 Global Universities Rankings by US News & World Report, Tongji University ranks 11th in the Country Rank of China and 35th in Best Global Universities in Asia.

Bachelor of Medicine&Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS) is a full-time six-year English-taught program for international students. The main courses include: human anatomy, histoembryology, physiology, cytology and biochemistry, medical genetics, immunology, pathogenic biology, pathology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, diagnostics, internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, traditional Chinese medicine, psychiatry, etc. 

First Round Application Period: 

November 5th, 2024 to December 5th, 2024.

Second Round Application Period：

March 1st, 2025 to April 10th, 2025

1. Applicants should be between 18-25 years old(no later than Dec.31st of that year, Dec.31st included), high school graduate or above, non-Chinese citizen with non-criminal record, in good health. 

2. Applicants should have a good command of English(IELTS 6.5/TOEFL IBT 85 or above). Applicants who are native English-speakers or have studied in English-taught high schools are not required to submit English proficiency certificates.

Tuition CNY 45000/year.

First Round Application Period: 

November 20th, 2024 to January 20th, 2024.

Second Round Application Period：

March 1st, 2025 to April 20th, 2025

1. Scholars applicants aged between 18-25, self-supporting applicants aged between 18-35(up to and including December 31st in the year of application).

2. Non-Chinese citizen who have graduated from high school or above,  with non-criminal record, are in good health. 

3. Applicants should have a good command of English(IELTS 6.5/TOEFL IBT 85 or above). Applicants who are native English-speakers or have studied in English-taught high schools are not required to submit English proficiency certificates.
