SCUT is one of leading universities directly under the Ministry of Education, and one of the national 211 and 985 project universities，which qualifies it as a prestigious and highly sought-after institution in China. SCUT has developed its presence in the world considerably, and has played a more and more essential role in the development of global higher education. Founded in 1958, Dalian Polytechnic University (DPU) has one of the longest histories in the academic area of the Chinese light industry. DPU's campus covers 470,000 square meters. It is home to 13,000 undergraduate students and 2,000 graduate students. As a multidisciplinary university, DPU offers courses and degrees in a range of subject areas including engineering, science, art, management, business, and the liberal arts.

1. Applicants should be a foreigner with a valid passport, in good physical and mental health.

2. Bachelor applicants should hold a high school diploma with good record, age under 25 years old.

3.Master applicants should hold a bachelor's degree with good record, age under 35 years old.
4.Doctoral applicants should hold a master's degree with good record, age under 40 years old.

5.Applicant for bachelor programs should have IELTS score no less than 5.5; TOFEL IBT score no less than 68; Duolingo no less than 100 scores or other equivalent English language qualifications.

6.Applicant for master and doctoral programs should have IELTS score no less than 6.0; TOFEL IBT score no less than 80; Duolingo no less than 112 scores orr other equivalent English language qualifications.
