About JSU
Jiangsu University (JSU) was founded in 1902 sharing the same root with Nanjing University, Southeast University, etc. and has developed to be a national comprehensive key university.
There are more than 2,600 universities in Chinese Mainland. According to ESI Ranking, JSU rose from 78 in 2015 to 50 in 2019 in the general ranking among Chinese Mainland's universities. In THE World University Ranking 2020, JSU ranked 43 of all universities in Chinese Mainland. In QS Asian University Ranking 2020, JSU ranked 51 of all universities in Chinese Mainland.7 disciplines have been ranked.
JSU has been promoting high-level research. In the recent 5 years, the total scientific research fund amounts to 2.789 billion RMB, sponsored by governments and enterprises. Since 2016, JSU has succeeded in applying for 524 projects in total from the National Natural Science Foundation, ranking among the top 50 universities in Chinese Mainland for six consecutive years.
Inteas top 1% globally in ESI: Engineering, Clinical Medicine, Materials Science, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Pharmacology & Toxicology and Biology & Biochemistry, among which the best are Engineering ranked as top 1.78‰, Chemistry as top 2.17‰, Materials Science as top 2.68‰ and Agricultural Science as 3.63‰.
JSU has 5,763 staff members, among which 2,475 are faculty members, including 450 professors. 54% of them have got PhD degrees and over 32% have experience of overseas study. The current total enrollment of full-time students amounts to over 47,600, including 12,000 postgraduates, 2000 international students from 74 countries and 10,000 full-time students from Jingjiang College.
JSU offers 93 undergraduate programs, 213 master programs, and 64 PhD programs in 12 academic fields: Engineering, Agriculture, Science, Medicine, Management, Economics, Medicine, Law, Education, Literature, Art and History.
JSU gives priorities to the internationalization of the school running, encouraging faculty members and students to go abroad for further studies, inviting more global talents to join for mutual benefits, promoting international research collaboration as well as recruiting more overseas students.

Scholarship
1.JSU Presidential Scholarship
The scholarship is open to excellent bachelor and master graduate students who have made significant academic and social contributions to JSU and received important awards during the study period.
2.JSU School Scholarships
To promote internationalization to full extent, various schools and departments of JSU offer their own scholarships to foster better education opportunities, research and development of overseas students who wish to study at Jiangsu University.
3.OEC Scholarship for Excellent Students
To encourage students with good academic performance, Overseas Education College (OEC) of JSU awards top scorers. During the beginning of every academic year, an annual assessment will be made and a fair selection will be published.
