About NWAFU
Northwest A&F University is a key national comprehensive university directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education. NWAFU is the only education institution in China that is completely equipped with disciplines of agriculture, forestry, and water science. Currently there are all together 23 colleges (departments, institutes) and Graduate School, covering disciplines of agriculture, science, engineering, economics, business, liberal arts, law, philosophy, history, medicine, education, arts, etc.. The recruitment of undergraduate students has been initiated in 1934 and post-graduate students in 1941. During the past eight decades, more than 130,000 professional talents have stepped out of campus to work home and abroad, among whom 15 have become academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering; they have made outstanding contributions to Northwest area and whole China in world agriculture modernization and rural economic social development.

Qualification
1.Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, in good physical and mental health, abide by the laws and regulations of China.
2.Applicant should hold a bachelor degree, age under 35 years old.
3.English-taught programs applicants need to submit English proficiency certificate TOEFL or IELTS (English native speakers are exempted).
Application Materials
1.Scan of bachelor degree certificate or equivalent or pre-graduation certification.
2.Scan of transcripts of all courses taken when pursuing a bachelor’s degree, the official seal of the school must be affixed.
3.Photocopy of the personal information page within the validity period.
4.English language proficiency (a score above IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 90 or equivalent) for non English native speaker.
5.Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors with their signatures and contact information, introducing the academic or research background of the applicant.
6.Study plan or research proposal.
7.Physical examination record for foreigners.
8.Certificate of no criminal conviction.
9.Two passport-sized photos.
10.Other supporting documents such as publications, awards, certificate of employment/internship, and etc.
