Tianjin University, founded in 1895, is the oldest institution of higher education in the modern history of China.

In recent years, there have been over 1000 international students at different levels coming to this university each year and this data has placed the forward rank among the national science and engineering universities and local universities.
At present, Tianjin University has formed various types and levels in international student education including short-term and long-term Chinese language courses, undergraduate, master degree to Ph. D students. There are 133 countries students are studying at this university now, compared with that of 20 years ago, only 10 countries students studied here. Along with increases of international students and their countries, there has formed a multi-culture and internationalization atmosphere on campus.

Qualification
1. Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, and the conditions set by the Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC should be met.
2. Applicants must have bachelor degree and be under the age of 35. Applicants should be in good health and of good character, be well-behaved and be willing to abide by China's laws and regulations, as well as the university rules.
3. English-taught programs applicants need to submit English proficiency certificate (English native speakers are exempted). TOEFL: no less than 80, IELTS: no less than 6.0. The minimum language requirement for English MBA Program is TOEFL 85 or IELTS 6.5.
Application Materials
1.Scanned copy of highest diploma. Scan copy of Pre-graduation Certificate is required if the applicant has not gained degree certificate before the application deadline.
2.Scan of notarized copy of the academic transcripts. Applicants who will not graduate before the application deadline must provide their current academic transcript. In this case, the completed academic transcripts must be submitted before registration.
3.Photocopy of passport within the validity period.
4.Proof English proficiency.
5.CV.
6.Two recommendation letters in English or Chinese from two professors or associate professors.
7.Study or research plan. At least 800 characters, in Chinese or English.
8.Acceptance Letter from TJU Supervisor.
9.Physical examination record for foreigners.
10.Applicants who are now in China must submit scan of photocopy of visa and transfer certificate from present university.
11. Scan of non-criminal record or student performance letter.
12. Other attachments.
