Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), a national key university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education, jointly supported by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transport, Beijing Municipal Government, and China State Railway Group Co., Ltd, is an active contributor to the development of the "National 211 Project", the "985 Innovative Platforms for Key Disciplines Project" and the 'Double First-Class' construction. As one of the three founding bodies of the Jiaotong University, the history of BJTU dates to 1896. It originated as Railway Management Institute during the Qing dynasty, the first higher education institution in China committed to fostering railway management talents. It is the birthplace of modern China's railway management and telecommunication education.

Qualifications
1. Non-Chinese citizens holding foreign ordinary passports, physically and mentally healthy, of good conduct, without any record of violation of laws or crimes, and are willing to abide by Chinese laws and regulations as well as the rules and regulations of BJTU.
2. A high school diploma is required to apply for a bachelor’ s degree programs; A bachelor’s degree certificate is required to apply for a master’ s degree program; A master’s degree certificate is required to apply for a doctoral program.
3. Applicants should at least meet one of the following criteria: IELTS 6.0 and above or TOEFL 80 and above within two years after the test date; or prior study experiences in the medium of English and obtained the degree certification.
