1. Brief Introduction
The program is to provide students with systematic theories of management and corporate management, help them understand the trend of domestic and international academic research, and get familiar with the economic and social development and corporate management after the reform and opening-up in China. Students are to equipped with substantial theories in corporate management, comprehensive professional quality, and be able to make creative research and solve related theoretical and practical problems, thus be prepared for independent work of management, teaching and scientific research.
2.1 The dissertation shall be completed independently by students themselves under the instruction of their supervisors and should put forward novel scientific ideas and has important academic or practical significances.
2.2 Opening report of the graduate paper will be carried out at the third semester. It will take at least one year to finish the final paper.
2.3 The format of opening report and dissertation should follow The Requirements of Opening Report for Postgraduates’ Scientific Dissertation of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and The Format of Scientific Dissertation of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University.
2.4 According to Rules of Postgraduates’ Oral Defense of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, students should publish at least one scientific paper in prescribed journals or obtain other prescribed scientific achievement before the oral defense, which is also the requirement of applying for the master degree.
3. Main Courses
Management Economics: This course enable students understand economic problem in business management, form conceptual framework of economic thinking for decision making process under the condition of market economy. This course preliminary study the rational allocation of enterprises’ production factor and other economic resources, probe internal economic laws in enterprise operation process, analysis enterprise’s economic activity size, ratio, structure, organization and relationship with other economic activities.
Organizational Behavior: The content of organizational behavior includes individual psychology and behavior, group behavior, motivation, leadership, organization behavior and management etc. Students are required to understand latest research achievement, grasp the change rule of individual, group and organization behavior, use theoretical knowledge of organizational behavior to forecast, lead and control individual and organizational behavior, solve management problem in real work, assist scientific management decision.
Management Research Methods: This course mainly train student methodology thinking ability and research design capability. After course training, students can make a better design for research problem and analysis for data.
Strategy Management: This course is one of degree courses in corporate management subject. Strategy is enterprises’ programs and activities based on long-term and overall interests. As program of enterprise operation management activities, strategy has the function of overall guidance and global coordination.
Financial Management: This course mainly includes two contents: financial management principles and company financial operation. The first part is about basic problems about financial management. The content of company financial operation are financing of enterprise ownership, debt financing, capital structure decision, project investment decision, working capital management and benefit distribution.
4. Duration: 2.5 years (the duration of study can be 2 to 4.5 years)
