While enhancing students' all-round development in morality, intelligence and physical health, it aims to train students to be competent not only for fashion design, brand design, commodity development, and market-oriented image promotion, but also for design technology management, clothing trade, fashion information and market intelligence analysis, professional education and training, advanced fashion design management. The graduates are supposed to be fashion designers and researchers with artistic creativity, market sensitivity and strong ability in clothing commodity development, so that they can be fashion market buyers or work on popular intelligence analysis for textile and garment companies, or be engaged in fashion design research, brand design and management, advanced fashion design, fashion advertising and show design.

Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, College English, Introduction to Computer Basics, Fashion Drawing, Fashion Color Design, Accessory Pattern, Hand-working Design for Clothing, Draping for Dress, Women’s Wear Design, Technology of Women’s Wear, Women's Wear Composition, Fashion Project Design, Graduation Design, etc.
Ⅵ Special Courses
Self-study Courses: quality enhancing courses, such as history of art, philosophy, etc, and five extracurricular self-study courses about the major (not included in the 172 total credits): Basic Technology of Women's Wear Design (1 credit), Women's Wear Composition A (1 credit), Women's Wear Design and Making A (1 credit), Women's Wear Composition B (1 credit), Women's Wear Design and Making B (1 credit). These courses help students to learn more about pattern making, technology and production.
Research-based Courses: According to the requirements of fashion industry for research-oriented talents, two special courses are offered in the seventh semester: Project Design 2. Students are required to design products for virtual brands, based on their market research and trend analysis. Research projects are conducted
