I.     Chinese Government Scholarship

As Fujian Medical University is eligible to admit Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC Scholarship) international student, applicant can submit application to the dispatching authorities for overseas study or the Chinese Embassy (Consulate General) in their home countries.

II.   Fujian Provincial Government Scholarship

1.     Candidate: Full-time self-funded international students with student status in our university

2.    Number: 60-70 students in an academic year

3.    Criteria:

each MBBS student RMB 30,000

each Master student RMB 40,000

each Doctoral student RMB 50,000

4.    Application criteria:

A.  Candidates should comply with laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China and rules and regulations of Fujian Medical University and OEC;

B.  Candidates’ overall grades of the academic year should be within 60% (including 60%) of his/her grade (class).

III.   School Scholarship

1.    Scholarship for Outstanding Self-funded International Students

A.    Candidate: Full-time self-funded international undergraduates with student status (freshman and students who take clinical practice excluded)

B.   Number: 40-50 students in an academic year

C.   Criteria:

the first prize RMB 7,000

the second prize RMB 5,000

the third prize RMB 3,000

D.   Application Criteria:

a.     Candidates should comply with laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China and rules and regulations of Fujian Medical University and OEC;

b.     Candidates’ overall grades of the academic year should be within 60% (including 60%) of his/her grade (class);

c.     Candidates should not receive warning and above punishments due to breach of the regulations of the university in the academic year;

d.    Candidates should pass all compulsory course exams;

e.     Candidates should not be tardy to pay tuition fee, accommodation fee, insurance fee and other fees in the appraisal period.

2.    Academic Progress Scholarship for International Students

A.   Candidate: Full-time self-funded international undergraduates with student status

B.   Number:  10-20 students in an academic year

C.   Criteria: each student RMB 1,000

D.   Application Criteria:

3.    Excellent Intern Scholarship for International Students

A.   Candidate: Full-time self-funded international undergraduates with student status

B.   Number:  20-30 students in an academic year

C.   Criteria: each student RMB 2,000

D.   Application Criteria:

a.     Refer to the application criteria of Scholarship for Outstanding Self-funded International Students of Fujian Medical University;

b.     Candidates should pass all rotation evaluation tests without absence or taking make-up exams.

c.     Candidates should seriously complete contents specified by the Practice Outline for Internship, abide by rules and regulations of the hospital for internship and teaching arrangement of both the hospital and instructor without unexcused absence and medical negligence.

4.    Chinese Learning Scholarship for International Students

A.   Candidate: Full-time self-funded international undergraduates with student status

B.   Criteria: each student RMB 450 to 1,200

C.   Application Criteria:

a.  Refer to the application criteria of Scholarship for Outstanding Self-funded International Students of Fujian Medical University;

b.   Candidates should pass all exams of Chinese courses and take the HSK test before the end of the sixth semester with a score above 180.

c.   Candidates should take the HSK test before the end of the ninth semester (before taking clinical practice) with a score above 180.

d.   Candidates who take the HSK tests of successively increased levels with a score above 180 can respectively apply for corresponding scholarships according to the above provisions.

e.   Candidates should take the HSK test in Fujian Medical University.

5.    Da Bo Scholarship for International Students:

A.    Candidates: Full-time self-funded international students with student status in our university

B.   Number: 20 students in an academic year

C.   Criteria: each student RMB 3000

D.   Application criteria:

a.     Refer to the application criteria of Scholarship for Outstanding Self-funded International Students of Fujian Medical University;

b.     Those freshmen whose scores of Entrance Examination are within 30% of his/her grade (or class) can apply for the Scholarship.
