To support more outstanding international students to study at Beijing Foreign Studies University for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, students who have submitted the "Individuals at their own expense" program can apply to BFSU for the Beijing Government Scholarship for New International Students according to their situation.
I.Time to apply
From October 20, 2021, to December 10, 2021
From April 10, 2022, to May 30, 2022
II.How to apply
Please send the application materials to admission@elic.com.cn with the email title“Apply for BGS+Name”.
III. Application materials (in Chinese or English)
a. Application Form for Beijing Government Scholarship;
b. Passport scan (front page);
c. The applicant’s highest academic qualification and academic transcripts;
d. Applicants for an academic degree or research should provide a study plan (no less than 400 words) or a research plan (no less than 800 words);
e.Physical Examination Record for Foreigners;
f. Other supporting materials that the applicant considers necessary, such as letters of recommendation, certificates of awards, etc.
VI. Scholarship confirmation
BFSU will review the applicant’s scholarship application materials and select outstanding ones to grand the scholarship. The winners will receive a confirmation email.
V. Important notices
a. Applicants should first meet the admission requirements of the 2022 Admission Guide for International Students of Beijing Foreign Studies University. Applicants should be from BFSU majors that enroll international students. Please refer to the Admission Guide and Enrollment Majors;
b. Applicants should first sign in to the International Student Service System of BFSU and finish their online application. BFSU will send an Admission Notice (Letter) if one is accepted for enrollment. For students who fail to be admitted, the awarded scholarship will be canceled automatically.
c. The scholarship can be only used as tuition by means of reduction and exemption (1 semester or 1 term).
d. The submitted application materials will NOT be returned regardless of acceptance or denial. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
e. The applicant is responsible for the authenticity of the materials provided. Applicants should bear all negative consequences when any dishonesty or falsification is confirmed.
